The second EP released on Riot Records by the Owen Guns. Recorded and Mixed by Geoff Mullard at RTN studios and mastered by Jason Fuller at Goatsound,
It's 7 tracks which range from furious to funny, blending oldschool hardcore with sing along punk rock and adding a metal edge. Full of blazing solos and group choruses - theres never a lull from the onslaught of punk rock yet the band even have time to show thier "sensitive" side with a faithful cover of the Hard-ons Aussie punk classic "Just being with you". The guitar thrashes and wails, the bass and drums pound and the vocalist rants and raves at everything that annoys him. It's an EP that shows the band in full flight. No prisoners taken, no fucks given. It's raw and raucous - just how punk should be.
The Owen Guns on this recording are
Sean the Bastard - Yammering and Bleating
Martin - Bass and Shouts
MaTu - Drums and shouts
Ruka Waru - Guitar and shouts

These guys are just fucking great. What more needs to be said. They give me hope… they give me tremors… thank god they’re here. What else can I say? There you go. They make me happy. timothyaven

They say Australia is going through a Punk Renaissance right now. If so, Split System is definitely at the forefront. This album rules, with no caveats. If you’re not supporting THIS, you’re on the wrong side. Riot Radio
